The Joy Ticker

Question, why does joy
Feel temporary?

As if an intermission
Between tribulations?

A ragged, painful breath
Post marathon?

As if being broken
Is natural?

I know! I haven’t posted in months and I’m suuuuper ashamed. Life is complicated, okay?! Anyway, I wanted to take a moment to mention Synapsis (#NotSponsored/Affiliated). It’s a writer’s game that I bought during quarantine and the above poem is a product of a gaming session. It’s a lifesaver.

See you in the future,
Desi
